James Gunn Updates: James Gunn has revealed that there will be a Holiday Special of Guardians of the Galaxy which will be containing some special stuff that we need to learn before the release of Volume 3. The director has also said that the Special will be shot at the same location and will also contain some same sets.
This was one of the most exciting announcements that were made last year. Marvel now also has been producing original content for streaming service Disney+ and this will be released on the platform for the fans to watch.
A recent interview with James Gunn for the film The Suicide Squad was conducted and one of the questions was about what the fans can expect from the holiday special.
Gunn was clear that this edition was the primer to Volume 3 of the film and also said that this is a kind of an appetizer for the fans who are waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 to release and also that they wanted to give some kind of a backstory on why the volume 3 would be happening and also there will be some information that will be explained in the Holiday Edition.

What James Gunn revealed About Guardians of the Galaxy?

This confirms that the shooting begins in November and that the special edition will also be shot at the same location with the same sets as well. Gunn also revealed the Special Edition will be of 40 minutes and is due to release in December 2022, while Volume 3 of Guardians of the Galaxy will be ready to hit the theaters by May 2023.
We can all agree that with Gunn’s reveals that this Special edition will be acting as a starter for the upcoming Volume 3 of the original movie. Currently, we don’t know anything about the holiday special apart from the cast that is going to be featured in the special.
Whatever the story is we know that all the die-hard fans will be watching the prequel and will be waiting eagerly for the movie to release.
