Spielberg and Hanks show Masters of the Air filming in Oxford

Masters of the Air Updates: The shooting for the mini-series produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg began in Oxford. The shoot will be for one week and actors were found in Radcliff square. Many vehicles were found parked in Bodleian Library and in Catte Street.

The series is from “Band of Brothers (2001)” and “The Pacific (2010).” The show was primarily shot in Dalton Barracks military base near Abingdon. It was because jets can be used for the tax. Now the shift from location happened because now they are shooting for a different scene.

A bystander told, “It is always exciting to see filming taking place in Oxford. We are used to Endeavour, but this looks like being a really popular show in which some big names appearing.”

Anthony Boyle will joining the cast and will portray Major Crosby in the film. He is best known for the role of Scorpius Malfoy  (British play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child). He has backed many awards and nominations throughout his career. The series will convey, the story of the action of the US Army’s elite Eighth Air Force of the United States Army, who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep.

The show is a war drama starring Austin Butler (Once Upon a Time), Callum Turner(Emma), Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, and Raff Law. Austin Butler and Callum Turner will be portraying the main roles.  Filming began in April with an intention to air the show later this year.

But now it is said that the show will only be premiered in 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It seems that they are pushing the dates behind due to two Covid outbreaks.

The story is penned by both  John Orloff and Graham Yost. Apple Studios and Playtone are the production companies so for sure the show will be premiering under them. The production work is still in progress and can expect the show in near future. It is confirmed that the show will be premiering on Apple TV Plus. Everyone is anxiously waiting for the release.
