The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4: Ending Explained and Season 5 Notifications

Published by
The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 Updates: Fred Waterford is killed in the final episode of season 4 and it is written as “Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.”  The phrase first appeared in Atwood’s 1985 book but it isn’t an actual Latin phrase. Instead, “nolite te bastardes carborundorum” is generally translated as “don’t let the bastards grind you down” in Handmale’s Tale.
The Handmaid’s tale stopped with a spicy note.

The Handmale’s Tale Season 4 Final Shot explained:

Important Note: Spoilers Ahead
Fred shared all the confidential information regarding Gilead in exchange for his release from custody. Now June comes on to the scene. She and commander Lawrence makes Fred caught to Gilead. She also makes exchange for 22 women held as hostages. Now on the other side, Nick makes Fred go to No man’s land. There he meets June and a group of women put him to death.

Fred is seen dead with the Latin words. The words actually did not surprise the viewers. After all, it is repeated many times in the series. The words actually meant nothing and it is just a joke. It also makes a tattoo of a killer too!.

In The Handmaid’s Tale season four, episode 10, the phrase seems as graffiti on the wall wherever Fred port currently hangs. It is a reminder of that core message, however with an associate degree ironic twist:

Fred had antecedently unconcealed to June that he and his friends came up with the phrase as a joke, thinking themselves very clever. therefore as June and Fred’s story comes full circle along with her killing him and biting out his tongue when being hunted person through the woods .she was silenced and abused.

Therefore too will the employment of “nolite te bastardes carborundorum” loop all the way back spherical too, coming to bite Fred.

Why June killed Fred:

The Death of Fred was one of the top moments of the show. Fred did many atrocities that made June do this. Fred is also a traitor of the country and June decides that he must be brutally murdered.

For the opposite Handmaids, too, this can be a way of catharsis. Waterford might not are their Commander, however, all of them had one rather like him. To Emily and therefore the others, this can be revenge not just for a Gregorian calendar month, United Nations agency has already become their leader.
