Mare of Easttown Season 2 Updates: Casey Bloys has made a statement saying that Mare of Easttown Season 2 will continue only if the creator Brad Ingelsby comes up with a new idea. This show was one of the most successful additions to the platform of HBO created by Brad Ingelsby.
This intense murder mystery premiered in April starring Emmy Award winner Kate Winslet who came back to television after 2011. Winslet plays a detective who is given a mystery to solve the murder of a young mother in Philadelphia.
She struggles with pressure as there is another case that is pending and the story revolves around her. Her daughter-in-law is also vying for the custody of Mare’s grandson.
The show was a massive success on the platform and also a hit that featured Winslet in her best-ever performance. It was also a record-breaker, breaking the highest viewership for the pay cabler and its streaming service.
This show also has increased viewership every week and this is a record in itself as there is one other show which broke records like this. The platform servers crashed as well to watch the show’s finale.
This has logically led many to wonder if HBO is considering expanding the limited series into a full show, but according to the network’s chief that decision doesn’t really have to do with how Mare of Easttown performed.
The chief told that he is unsure whether the show would renew for a second season as the creator is out of ideas for the next season. He also t0ld me that if there are ideas as well, then the second season to air would take a lot of time. As far as we know, Winslet is ready to return to her lead role and is ready to take any challenge that comes her way.
