Robert De Niro Can File Federal Counterclaims Against Ex-Employee

Robert De Niro Updates: Robert De Niro’s tardy claims against his Ex-Employee Graham Chase Robinson will be accepted by the Federal Court. In August of 2019, De Niro and his Canal Productions Sued Graham Chase Robinson in New York State court.

Robinson, who was a former Executive, abused Company’s credit card and boozed up with her friends on the Clock. For the suing issued by De Niro, Robinson filed a Gender Discrimination and Retaliation suit against Canal Productions in Federal Court. She claimed that she was treated as an “Office Wife” in that suit.

De Niro requested U.S. District Judge Katharine H. Parker to amend his answers to the acquisition made by Robinson in her suit. He then re-plead his claims and since then the issue was in the light of the federal proceedings. Although the motion to amend was filed past the deadline, Parker conversed that it was the State court’s fault and it has nothing to do with De Niro and Canal.

Parker stated that if Canal was successful in its previous claims in State Court, the present motion was not necessary. But the state court didn’t issue any decision until the Federal court’s deadline was passed. She pointed out that this is not about Canal lacking diligence, but it is totally the State Court’s issue.

The court stated that allowing counterclaim to be amended would delay the proceedings and they refused to take on Robinson’s argument. It also stated multiple claims from Robinson against De Niro are futile.

Robinson’s offer to keep the claims about her Netflix watching, job duties, and compensation out of the federal dispute are also Denied by Parker. She said that none of the paragraphs were irrelevant to warrant striking them from the proposed pleading.
