Black Widow’s David Harbour On Red Guardian’s Status During Thanos Battle

Published by

David Harbour Updates: Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow movie was recently dropped in theatres and Disney+ and here is what David Harbour said about his character presence during the Thanos invasion. David Harbour was cast for the role of Russian Super Solider Aka Red Guardian in the Black Widow movie.

This movie takes in the timeline between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity war where we will come to know about Natasha’s surrogate family and the flashback of the character.

Tolerance Pugh was cast as Yelena, Natasha’s sister, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff (Natasha’s surrogate mother). As a part of face four, Marvel cinematic Universe has been releasing so many characters to the storyline and David Harbour’s Red Guardian is one such character.

David Harbour is famously known for his role as Sheriff Jim Hopper in Netflix’s Stranger Things and his acting as Red Guardian is phenomenal. He described his character as not either a hero or nobleman that people want him to be.

David Harbour: Where Was Red Guardian During Thanos Battle?

Harbour was once asked in an interview if he knows his character’s whereabouts during the Thanos’ invasion, he said that he too asked the same question to Cate Shortland. But immediately he said that he was lying and he didn’t ask anything about his character’s whereabouts during Thanos invasion.

He said that there was new content with a lot of the information in the movie that moved forward with those other projects in the terms of a new phase. But Harbour and Cate had a serious discussion on this topic it seems, and they have come up with many interesting theories. But they didn’t go to the source directly. He hasn’t asked Kevin Feige and he told that he will do it later.

Harbour even commented that it would not have been fair to have ‘such a specimen’ like the Red Guardian in the fight with Thanos. The Red Guardian portrayed in the Black Widow is not the same super-soldier from the Cold War that people heard stories about, but he is a person who lets himself go.

Although he is a Superhuman, he cannot wield the Mjolnir as Captain America did in the final battle against Thanos. However, Harbour said that he loves to see a showdown between his character and Captain America.

The upcoming movies like Shang-Chi and The Legend of ten Rings, and Eternals are burdened with the explanation of where they were when Thanos assassinated half the Universe. If we consider the Eternals, who are a group of immortals meant to guide and watch over humanity, they didn’t present themselves when Thanos attacked.

However, Red Guardian is a failed father figure for Natasha and he is the least she expects to help her in the battle against the Mad Titan.
