Will We See Scott Adkins in John Wick 4?

Deadline

John Wick: Chapter 4 was confirmed in May 2019 and would be launched on May 21, 2021. However, owing to the ongoing pandemic, it has been postponed until May 27, 2022. While it was scheduled to be shot concurrently with John Wick: Chapter 5, Lionsgate decided to postpone production of John Wick 5 and focus only on John Wick: Chapter 4.

Adkins began his career in direct-to-video films like the Undisputed trilogy and El Gringo before going on to star in high-profile films such as American Assassin, The Expendables 2, The Bourne Ultimatum, Doctor Strange, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He’s presently starring alongside Jamie Foxx, Meagan Good, and Dave Franco in the Netflix comedy film Day Shift.

Beyond the core blockbuster, Lionsgate has big ambitions for John Wick. The Continental, a prequel series being developed by the studio, will chronicle the beginnings of the hotel business that provides shelter and safe haven for individuals involved in the criminal underground. Len Wiseman’s female-centric spinoff film, Ballerina, is also in pre-production.

Being cast in John Wick 4 may easily lead to additional employment, depending on whether Adkins’ role lives a confrontation with Wick.
