Harrison Ford Wearing Sling In Photos After Indiana Jones 5 Injury

Harrison Ford Updates: Harrison Ford has made a full recovery.  The 78-year-old actor was seen strolling around London’s Mayfair area on Friday with his right arm in a khaki strap after suffering an injury while preparing for Indiana Jones 5.

As he took in the sights, the actor donned a blue sweater, grey trousers, and a black face mask. It comes after Harrison wore his trademark Indiana Jones cap for the sixth time to reprise his role as the reckless archaeologist.

Indiana Jones 5 began production in the United Kingdom this year and is set to hit theatres next year. The entire process has been difficult, from screenplay rewrites to a director change (initially, Steven Spielberg was slated to take the helm once more).

While the team eventually started filming in June, it wasn’t for long. Unfortunately, tragedy struck once more when Ford injured his shoulder while practicing a fight scene. Despite the fact that the event put the whole filming schedule at risk, the creative team rose to the occasion and rescheduled dates.

The gadget totally supports his shoulder and arm in photos, assuring that his injury heals appropriately. While the extent of Ford’s injuries has not been revealed, the fact that he is out and about indicates that he is recovering.

This isn’t the main man’s first set mishap. Ford insists on performing as many antics as possible, and as a result, he has been injured several times throughout his stint as the whip-wielding doctor. One of his earliest injuries occurred while filming the first installment of the franchise, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

During the action-packed filming, the movie actor injured his ribs and tore his right ACL. During Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, he herniated a disc, which extended his terrible luck. Ford has been hurt in previous films, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but this is the latest and perhaps final wound for the Jones saga.

Ford should probably take extra precautions at the age of 78, even if he’s clearly still up for doing his own stunts and in fantastic form. The crew behind Indiana Jones 5 will almost certainly tone down any of the actor’s future action scenes and make use of his stunt double. Otherwise, the entire enterprise might devolve into a doomsday temple.
