Although they didn’t mention the Pandemic as the reason for the delay, it is pretty clear that it is the reason. The Pandemic has caused great discomfort to the Video Game industry too.

Working from home is difficult for the Developers and many major Game developers have postponed their releases, and the reason is quite understandable.

The Blog post didn’t mention anything about the release date of the expansion, they have simply mentioned “early 2022”. So it is difficult to say the exact release date.

It’s always disappointing to see the most expected game getting delayed. But it is safe to assume that these setbacks will pay off one day. The delay in the gaming industry often delivers the best product and we can hope that Guild Wars Two: End of the Dragons will be one such game.
