Bruce Willis is filming a new movie in Bessemer

Bruce Willis Updates: A new Bruce Willis film will be shot in downtown Bessemer, which will be featured on the silver screen. The A-lister was recently spotted filming Soul Assassin in The Marvel City.

We’ve got all the details, so keep reading. No, that wasn’t a mistake. Bruce Willis, star of Die Hard (and a slew of other action films), is currently filming in Bessemer.

Soul Assassin, his new picture, is now filming in the historic downtown area.

Jesse Atlas, the film’s director, described Bessemer as “a delight to shoot in” due to its diverse old architecture (via WBRC).

Nomzama Mbatha, Andy Allo, and Dominic Purcell are among the other Soul Assassin stars now in Bessemer.

Willis was photographed eating dinner in The Bright Star earlier this week, according to multiple Bessemer residents.

Unfortunately, the men depicted above are his body and stunt duplicates, not Bruce Willis himself.

Bruce Willis Is Found Roaming on the Streets

Bham Now

So there’s a chance you’ll see three Bruce Willis’s roaming the streets.

In front of the historic Bessemer Train Depot, the film is being shot.

The movie set will relocate to The Back Porch and Sam Dunn Saloon in Bessemer today, June 23.

I spoke with Judson Stewart, the Depot’s project manager, who informed me that Soul Assassin will be filming in Bessemer until June 26.

The film will be released in theatres later this year or early in 2022.

This isn’t the first time Bessemer has been in the spotlight.

According to IMDb, The Marvel City has housed at least 20 film crews generating cinematic magic since the 1980s.

John Travolta (Trading Paint), Shania Twain (Trading Paint), Mykelti Williamson (Run the Race), and Ron Perlman (Run the Race) are among the Hollywood stars who are shooting in Bessemer alongside Willis (Hell on the Border).
