Kevin Feige Celebrates How Unique MCU Phase 4 Movies & Shows Have Been

Published by

Kevin Feige Updates: At the commencement of Phase 4, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige praises how unique the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and TV series have been. Phase 4 of the MCU eventually began in early 2021, after several release date revisions and production delays.

This follows the Infinity Saga’s climax in 2019 with Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Despite the ongoing concerns about the superhero bubble burst, Marvel Studios continues to have success in Phase 4.

WandaVision continued Scarlet Witch’s tale on Disney+ to start off the MCU’s new approach. The eight-part series captivated Marvel fans until the release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which moved the MCU’s plot to new characters and locales.

Marvel Studios is currently filming Loki’s first season and has recently released an episode chock-full of surprises. In addition, the studio is gearing up to release Scarlett Johansson’s long-awaited solo Black Widow film.

Even though all of these series and films are set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige is pleased with how different they are from one another.

The Black Widow premiered recently, which means Kevin Feige is back in charge of press for the film and the rest of the MCU. He spoke with ET Online on a range of issues related to the MCU’s future, including how Phase 4 is continuing to explore the MCU’s various corners.

Feige believes that fans will note how each product has its own tone and goal, despite the fact that they are all part of a bigger brand.

Kevin Feige, right for the job?

Kevin Feige is correct in his assessment of the MCU Phase 4 programs and films being distinctive. WandaVision recounted a narrative of Scarlet Witch’s trauma and love, but it did it on the backdrop of several TV sitcom decades.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follows Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in a buddy-cop story about them figuring out their place in the world without Steve Rogers and what it means to be Captain America as a Black man.

In a crime thriller involving the universe, Loki stalks a Variant of Tom Hiddleston’s god of mischief. Meanwhile, Black Widow is a prequel that tells the hidden story of Natasha Romanoff in a major way.

This is also not a brand-new approach for Marvel Studios. They’ve made a conscious effort in the past to present a variety of tones and genres in their films. It’s one of the reasons the MCU has remained defiant in the face of superhero weariness.

This trend will continue throughout Phase 4, as the MCU films and programs introduce new and varied characters while telling very different storylines. Phase 4’s early popularity should hopefully carry over to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Secret Invasion, and other upcoming films.
