Contra Returns Brings Run-and-Gun Shooting To Mobile In July

Contra Returns Updates: Based on the known run and gun game franchise, Contra Returns is a mobile game and is set for its international release in July. The well-known classic Konami game has been a legendary and vintage name in the video game title and is now returning for Android and iOS.

The original Contra game was a simple yet effective one. Players have to control a couple of action heroes who fight aliens who have invaded Earth. But this is easier said than done, thanks to the game’s one hit per life.

Interestingly, this is what gamers most loved about the game, as it provided a feeling of reality and great thrill trying to survive an Alien Armageddon. While Konami has previously released a few Contra titles, its latest Contra: Rogue Corps was not well received by critics.

Speaking of Contra Returns, the game has been available in Asia for years now with an option for the English language too. But the title will be getting an official international release on July 26. According to TiMi Studios, the game will be available on Android and iOS devices. Players can pre-register their interest through App Store and Google Play.

The game brings the classic feel and play of the original Contra game series in the HD version. It contains the original characters and also adds many new ones, each with its own customizable weapons and skill-sets.

Moreover, characters like The Terminator and Green Arrow also featured in the international release, due to their crossover with other franchises. These crossovers have not yet been announced for the English release.

The game will also feature its own storyline with Red Falcon returning as the villain who unleashes his army of zombies on Earth.

Contra Returns also has over 200 levels to play and a number of game modes, including multiplayer (up to 4 players) and games having life-bar rather than one-hit over. After Contra: Rogue Corps, fans might have had a bad impression, but Contra Returns looks ready to win them back.
