Dead By Daylight: Resident Evil Nemesis Is OP (But Can Be Fixed)

Published by

Dead By Daylight Updates: Dead By Daylight’s new add-on chapter, Resident Evil features a strong enemy Nemesis. This character is currently causing imbalance to the game due to its extraordinary power.  The perks of this chapter’s killer Nemesis include punching the survivors with his bare hands and hitting them from a little distance with his whip.

Apart from these powers, the new addition of AI zombie helpers has made Nemesis too powerful to be defeated. The survivors of this game are Leon and Jill with each having a unique ability. Leon can temporarily blind the killers with his Flashbang perk. Jill has a perk that heals her automatically when injured.

Nemesis has an advantage on both ranges of attacks:

Usually, in the Dead by Daylight game, killers mostly rely on their weapons to hunt down the survivors. Killers like Trapper uses a trap to hunt down the survivors. Other killers like Huntress or The Trickster uses long-range weapons to damage their opponents.

In order to maintain the balance of the game, both ranges of attacks are not included in a single killer. But Nemesis seems to have the advantage of both range attacks, as he has ranged whip attack along with his zombie buddies which act as his short-range attack.

Zombies in the game are very powerful and persistent. Survivors can temporarily blind them or hit them with a locker or a palette. But that will expose the location to Nemesis. Even the game’s basic tasks become tough to complete, with zombies around.

Nemesis can also make zombies rush the exit gates at the end of the game. Nemesis has already been a powerful antagonist. Now by joining forces with zombies, has made him even more difficult to beat.

Dead By Daylight: Improved gameplay is now frustrating to complete:

The addition of AI zombies provides improved gameplay to the game. Players are now able to play differently. However, the problem of zombies being strong is frustrating. Instead of hunting down the survivors, zombies can injure them. This will mend the problem to an extent.

Decreasing the range of Nemesis’s whip will make him balanced with the game. Nemesis as a killer is fun gameplay to be played with. Along with new add-ons, the Dead by Daylight’s core gameplay has improved to the next level. It is amazing to see a 5-year-old game is still getting its DLC and other updates.

However, for a fair gameplay Nemesis needs more balancing in its power. The balance of the game can be brought by reducing Nemesis’s power, or his zombies. Even improving the ability of the survivors will do the trick. However, this completely depends upon the developers and the community.
