Fortnite Season 7 Player With the Thanos Skin Snaps Away Half The Lobby

Published by

Fortnite Season 7 Updates: Fortnite is collaborating with Marvel again for Thanos to return as a rare skin. While the players won’t be able to purchase any Marvel skin until June 27, it can be earned by the players who compete in the Thanos Cup and finish and finish as the top player in their region will be given the skin for free.

These top performers will be rewarded with other exclusive cosmetics for their hard work, but Thanos skin will be an ultimate jewel.

This is not the first time Thanos has appeared in the Fortnite game. Back in 2018, to promote the release of Avengers: Infinity War Epic Games introduced a new game mode to Fortnite called simply Infinity war.

In this mode, Thanos’s famous Infinity Gauntlet is hidden somewhere on the map. Finding upon this gauntlet, the player would receive several powerups including massive health bars and shields when he gets a kill, and unique pair of attacks to punch, jump, and shoot better than any other normal player. With his return, it seems the character is more powerful.

Fortnite Season 7 Thanos Skin

In a new video from Fortnite Youtuber Lachlan, the popular player can be seen sporting the Thanos skin. He teases his audience that if he, as Thanos, uses the “Snap” emote, he will dust away half the lobby just as the Mad Titan did in Avengers: Infinity War.

And sure enough, when Lachlan activates the “Snap” emote, the screen fills out with the names of players who get eliminated. Many commenters claim that Lachlan appears to be in a custom lobby, so this likely not an actual feature of the Thanos skin.

Instead, it looks like a well-coordinated fun stunt performed to pay homage to Infinity War. Later in the video, Lachlan enters several other games and does not elect to use this same move, which would theoretically give him a considerable advantage were it an actual feature. So it seems, to quote the Mad Titan, “reality is often disappointing.”

As the video of Lachlan’s continues it was far from disappointing though, as he tries to complete an  (unofficial “Rainbow Infinity Gauntlet Challenge” where the player gets a rare gun ( excluding gray ).

So, when completed across the toolbar, along with a red pickaxe like Captain America’s shield ( there ain’t no red-tier gun ), the rainbow formed on the toolbar appears to be like the stones in the Infinity Gauntlet.

If Fortnite wanted to have some fun with this concept, it would be interesting to see a mode or challenge where if a player gets a kill the stone of that gun’s tier is “activated” and once all six are activated, the player actually could snap away half the lobby.

While this might be extremely overpowered, it would at least be more difficult to achieve than simply using a snap emote with a Thanos skin.
