FF7 Remake Updates: A subtle Easter egg has been spotted in Final Fantasy VII Remake by an eagle-eyed Reddit user. The Easter egg references one of the several collections created comprising songs from the Final Fantasy franchise. Those inquisitive can get the shoutout in Seventh Heaven.
While formerly marketed as a conventional retelling of the popular PlayStation classic, Final Fantasy VII Remake is a new take on the world and narrative formerly preceded in 1997.
While several stories and gameplay elements have replaced drastically, Seventh Heaven continues relevant. It is an eatery controlled by party member Tifa Lockheart, with the basement working as the hidden base for Avalanche.
There are some new characteristics – a jukebox and a darts minigame, for instance – but the place is overall the same.
There are amazing new Easter eggs in the decor, though. Reddit user roy_the_great posted a screenshot of a tiny plaque on the wall. The plaque represents a piano and is embedded with the text “thank you for the wonderful memories.”
The piano immediately resembles the top of the “Piano Collections: Final Fantasy VII” collection, a CD comprising piano versions of preferred songs from the game. The mark was detected by applying the photo method to receive a more careful glance at the eatery.

Tifa’s birthday can be viewed on the plate, along with her age. Cloud’s age, height, and birthday are also noted on the plate.
Fans are gratified to observe such a kind recommendation. One commenter considers that the “thank you” might be a note from a former fan who now has the opportunity to work on Final Fantasy VII Remake. It’s possible it could also be an homage to the dedicated fanbase returning for the remake. Neither theory has been verified.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is an impressive illustration of something happening amazingly faithful to the original material, while still possessing a distinct uniqueness of its own. This gives it both available to new players and enticing for veterans involved in double-dipping.
