Dragon Age 4 Updates: Dragon Age: Inquisition was released seven years ago. Fans are hoping for some news on the next edition of the franchise with EA Play in July, even if it’s only a little breadcrumb that can be studied for hours on end.
Many BioWare fans are expecting anything Dragon Age 4-related during next month’s EA Play, but it now appears that a Dragon Age 4 Alpha will arrive much sooner.
According to a new leak, an early build of Dragon Age 4 may be arriving on PlayStation next month. The leak comes from the unofficial PlayStation Game Size Twitter account, which was quick to remind out that no alpha has been added to the database, but they believe “a test version is on the way.”
This appears to be happening ahead of July’s EA Play Live event, which is due to begin on July 22nd. As with any rumor, readers should take this with a grain of salt until EA or PlayStation make an official announcement.
Developed by BioWare and distributed by EA, still does not have a release date. EA Play Live would be an ideal venue for more information, but Electronic Arts have not revealed which titles will be included at the showcase. Alpha for a single-player RPG seems uncommon, but as wccftech points out, this might be an internal version intended just for EA and BioWare staff. Right now, it’s tough to say for sure.
However, the discovery of anything on the PlayStation Store might indicate something else… that we will actually see something substance-related at EA Play in July. I’m not sure if it will be a trailer, a Dragon Age 4 name announcement, or even a release date.
Regardless of who or what this is for, it might pave way for some sort of announcement. There have been few definite facts published about it, and fans are understandably anxious to discover more. With EA Play Live arriving in less than a month, it’s possible that we’ll learn more about the game soon!
