Breath of the Wild 2: Characters That Could Return

Breath of the Wild 2 Updates: The sequel to Breath of the Wild will expand on the great foundation laid by the first game. While we don’t know what path the next game will go, several speculations have suggested that Ganon will rise once more, as well as a return to the Twilight world.

There have also been rumors that the focus would be on the genesis narrative, with Demise (the enemy from Skyward Sword) perhaps returning as the first Ganondorf.

So here are some characters we’d want to see a return in Breath of the Wild 2:

FI

Fi is a wise humanoid ghost that lives within the Goddess Sword. Fi did not make a direct appearance in the first game, but he is referenced in passing on several occasions. The Goddess Sword is the most basic variant of Master Sword, which, when tempered, evolves into the famous sword.

DEMISE

Demise is said to be the original Ganon or to have a relation to him in Skyward Sword. If Fi does arrive in the future game, Demise will very probably follow closely behind. With Ganon basically gone, it makes it natural for the focus to shift to a new adversary, although this may be confusing.

ZANT

ScreenRant

We’ll be flirting with the Twilight Realm once more, and we’ll run across an old nemesis in Zant as a result of one of the results. Perhaps the show wants to give this colorful and scary character a second chance after a terrifying performance that ultimately went flat. Zant is a Twili race member and the self-declared King of Twilight.

MIDNA

Midna would have to play a role in the struggle against Zant and other evil forces if the Twilight Realm were to be revisited. It might be a descendent of Midna instead, depending on how long Twili life and whether this timeline matches the Twilight Princess game. It will add to the game’s plot and perhaps provide new mechanics.

While the Legend of Zelda series is filled with magical and otherworldly characters, those that live in the skies in Skyward Sword are mostly Hylian.

While Hylians are more powerful than an ordinary human, they are nonetheless mortal due to their bigger ears, which allow them to hear messages from the gods. As a result, if Link travels back in time to a time before the events of Skyward Sword in BOTW2, he is unlikely to run into any of the Hylian people he met on Skyloft.
