From the trailers, it’s quite clear that there are two suicide squad teams and it can be assumed that one of these squads isn’t fated to survive their mission. The first trailer also revealed the fighting with Starro. Starro is an alien supervillain, who first appeared in DC Comics back in the 60s.

The new trailer revealed a scene where Amanda Waller is convincing Bloodsport to join her crew by taking advantage of his daughter’s court case against him. In DC Universe, Bloodsport is a tremendous supervillain who went to prison for shooting Superman with a kryptonite bullet. In this movie, Amanda is involving the suicide squad in a project called “Project Starfish”, explaining the goals of destroying every trace of this project.

The new trailer focused on the supervillain Starro, and it seems pretty obvious that mission is about wiping out the existence of Starro. The first squad against Starro will be destroyed and Amanda will send another squad for the mission.

Adopted from the history of DC comics, Starro is a cosmically powerful supervillain whose powers lie in telepathy and telekinesis. Suicide Squad 2 is also highlighting the director’s vision on DC films too. The scenes of the weasel are also exposed and he went to prison for killing 27 innocent children.

How all the scenes from trailers fit together is still unveiled, but DC fans don’t stop being less excited because Suicide Squad 2  is releasing this August.
