With Disney’s “Monster at Work”, almost 20 years after Pixar’s masterpiece “Die Monster AG”, a sequel in page format will be released by Disney +. In the Oscar-winning film, Mike and Sully discovered that children’s laughter is far more efficient than screaming. In the Disney + series, Monster AG is converting to a new form of energy. That means some changes – also for the new Schrecker Tylor Tuskmon, who has been transferred to the maintenance team.

The new trailer of Monsters at work not only gives you a first impression of the Disney + series, it also tells you the start date. The computer animation series will hit Disney + on July 7th, 2021. A new episode will then appear every Wednesday.

The trailer shows you in fresh pictures what to expect in the Disney + series. Monster University graduate Tylor Tuskmon is shocked to discover that Monster AG has no longer any use for Schrecker after discovering the energy of laughter.

The Possible plot

Tylor Tuskmon is the new top scare at Monster AG and the best in a class of Monster University graduates. At least that was his plan because on his first day at work he found that his dream employer no longer needed professional scares.

Mike and Sully have discovered a much more efficient way to power Monstropolis. Instead of terrifying energy, the power plant now relies on the power of laughter! Schrecker is no longer needed, Scherzer is the job with a future.

Tylor is temporarily transferred to the maintenance team at Monster AG in Monsters at work. Together with the illustrious mechanics, he gradually got to know the job of a joker. His new goal is to retrain himself to be a joker. You can find out whether the professional scare can do that exclusively at Disney + from July 7th, 2021.

Monster at work: production

Disney Television Animation (“Phineas and Ferb”) is responsible for production. The Disney + series of Pixar’s Oscar-winning masterpiece “Die Monster AG” and its prequel “Die Monster Uni” has been created. The new series continues the franchise with fresh characters and fan favorites like Mike and Sully.

Casting and Dubbing of Monsters at work

In the English-language original, you hear Ben Feldman (” Drop Dead Diva “) as Tylor Tuskmon, Mindy Kaling (“Das Büro”) as Val Little, and Henry Winkler (” Royal Pains “) as Fritz. In other speaking roles you will find Lucas Neff (” Marriage Story “) as Duncan and Alanna Ubach (“Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce”) as the editor. The monsters are the new additions to Monsters at work.

As in the previous films, you hear Billy Crystal (” The Comedians “) and John Goodman (” Roseanne “) as the voices of Mike Glotzkowski and James P. “Sully” Sullivan. In the German version, Ilja Richter (Timon in “Der König der Löwen”) speaks the role of Mike Glotzkowski again, but Reinhard Brock, who previously lent Sully his voice, unfortunately, passed away in 2013.
