Suicide Squad 2 Updates: Suicide Squad is a movie based on a DC comic supervillain’s team of the same title. James Gunn, the writer/director of the movie said that this movie is “a war-caper movie with s—ty super-villains.” when he was interviewed by the Entertainment Weekly.

James also posted a picture of the crew, the task force x members like Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, Bloodsport, and The Thinker’s head are seen getting into the battle in the rain. Another separate image was seen which included the other team members like Polka-Dot Man, King Shark, and Ratcatcher 2.

The imprisoned members are sent to the South American island of Corto Maltese, as members of task force X, to destroy Jotunheim which is a prison that used to held political prisoners and conducted experiments.

Peter Safran, the producers explains saying that, “Corto Maltese has alien materials they’re trying to weaponize to use against the United States and the rest of the world.”

The Suicide Squad is a sequel to Suicide Squad, which was released in 2016 and was a successful movie even after receiving negative reviews.

James Gunn’s movie is a comedy/action as compared to director David Ayer’s first cut of the film. To this, the co-editor of the movie, Kevin Hickman recently commented on Ayer’s contribution to the first cut of the movie saying that “It was less comedy. It was a much darker film.
