Rick and Morty Season 5 Updates: Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon developed the adult animated sci-fi sitcom Rick and Morty for Cartoon Network’s midnight Adult Swim programming block. The sitcom features the escapades of Rick Sanchez, a sarcastic mad scientist, and his good-hearted but worried grandson Morty Smith, who divide their time between household life and interdimensional adventures.

The first season of Rick and Morty aired on December 2^nd, 2013 and the most recent, fourth season had aired on November 10^th, 2019. The fifth season is going to air on June 20^th, 2021 on Adult Swim.

There are two Beths: Beth Grimes, Rick Grimes’ daughter, has become a clone of her father. Rick informed Beth that if she wanted to stay at home and care for her family, he could manufacture her an exact clone. In the season four conclusion, the show never disclosed if she accepted his offer.

There’s a new Galactic Federation: Rick Smith appeared to have killed off the Gromflomites, but they reassembled to create the New Galactic Federation. Rick is no longer their number one foe. He appeared to take pleasure in reminding the bug-like intruders of his continued threat.

Rick is losing control: The Smiths have more pressing issues than coping with a selfish member of their family. Rick begins Season 5 with considerably less control over his family than he has previously. “Yeah, grandfather Rick, don’t bring us into your bulls*** just because you’re losing control,” Summer replied, feigning striking him.

Morty carries a wounded Rick through some type of terrifying nightmare environment, the two of them encircled by crystals that appear to reflect pictures from their previous travels. A terrible creature erupts from the earth, preparing to devour them as they approach Rick’s ship. Rick begins blubbering in a self-pitying fashion. Morty directs the spacecraft toward Earth, which appears at the end of a doorway that is decreasing. They appear to have escaped, but the gateway is collapsing, damaging the spacecraft and sending it on a death dive toward Earth.

Morty finds a renewed will to live and he manages to pull the ship out of its fatal dive and lands on the ocean.
