Black Widow Updates: The first Black Widow social networking reactions have arrived. Scarlett Johansson’s solo Marvel Studios feature has been in the works for a long time, with some claiming it should have been a Phase 1 picture.

The coronavirus pandemic added to the postponement; originally scheduled to begin MCU Phase 4 in May 2020, it has been put back multiple times, most recently to July 2021.

Natasha Romanoff is already deceased in the main MCU timeframe; in Avengers: Endgame, she dedicated herself to Vormir in return for the Soul Stone as part of the superheroes’ time heist.

To get around this, the Black Widow solo film is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, and the protagonist is left alone after Iron Man and Captain America’s confrontation over the Sokovia Accords.

Here are some of the first reactions of Black Widow:

Black Widow’s emotional core, which centers upon Natasha’s Russian family, appears to function well in general. Florence Pugh and David Harbour are standouts, with the former’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe looking bright immediately.

Despite being a period piece, Yelena is expected to take up the Black Widow persona in the future, and with Pugh’s performance receiving rave reviews, the prospect of seeing her again has grown even more intriguing. However, there have been a few unfavorable reviews about the film, with the final act allegedly being a bummer.

Nat appears to be getting their due in the Black Widow film. Following the death scene in Endgame, there were a lot of backlashes, which this standalone film is supposed to make up for. Despite the odd storyline development, this most likely final excursion for Nat appears to properly conclude her tale in the MCU and provide her with the gratifying send-off she deserves.
