Google will be looking to get a positive result from the Pixel 6 and is hoping they do deliver. While the last pixel phone Pixel 5 was a solid smartphone, but it did felt like they held back and played it simple and plain. Having a mid-range Qualcomm processor without any meaningful camera updates it all looked a bit sketchy. But based on the reports so far Pixel 6 is expected to be completely different from any Pixel phone.

Google is expected to roll out two models of the Pixel – The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6 is told to be the cheaper and the smaller of the Pixel phones with a 6.4-inch display, while the Pixel 6 Pro will offer better specs and a 6.67-inch of display (OLED display panel on both Pixels).

If there is something new that was revealed during the Pro Renders of the phone is the new design. Major changes are the horizontal camera bumps on the back of the phone along with the two-tone color scheme above it. The front is also different, featuring a centered hole-punch cut-out and a more squared-off design.

Google Pixel 6 Features & Specs

ScreenRant

When looked in detail at the designs there are features that are worth mentioning. The Pixel 6 will have two rear cameras, whereas the Pixel 6 Pro will have three.

The major talked about feature is that the triple rear camera on Pixel 6 Pro will be periscope lens, the technology previously seen on Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra which does allow detailed zoom shots with the sensors.

The other sensors on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are ultra-wide lenses, though the exact specifications of the cameras remain unknown. Both the phone will come with wireless charging and an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

What is more exciting about the Pixel 6 is that both the phones will feature the first-ever Google silicon ‘ GS101 Whitechapel’ chipset. Without the backing of Qualcomm, it’s a huge step by Google to run their own chipset, which will be powering on Android 12.

As far as the price for the pixels are concerned it will surely peak past the previous price of Pixel 5 at $699. The prices for Pixel are not yet confirmed but expected to land between $800 and $1000 for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

The release of the device can be expected in the month of September as Pixel 5 was announced on September 30, So we can expect a mid-September or a mid-October release of the Pixels. It surely has got people talking and if Google could deliver on the expectation you may be looking at the best Android smartphones of this year.
