Fast and Furious 9 Updates: “The female characters need a spin-off”, F9 star Ludacris stated recently on SiriusXM’s Town Hall hosted by Jess Cagle and Julia Cunningham. F9 stars Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson finally disclosed last Monday that they’re absolutely ready for the F9 female-centric spin-off.

The main Fast and Furious web series is coming back in May and Fast and Furious 10, the final installment of the franchise, scheduled to release in the next year. The cast of F9 is keen to keep aside the male characters as the main focus of the franchise and present the films with more female-centric activities. There is a possibility of a spinoff to focus on the female characters as a lead.

Over the years, several women including Brewster, Gal Gadot, Ronda Rousey have been highlighted in the Fast and Furious franchise, but not as a lead role. In 2019, Van diesel assured that a “female protagonist driven spin-off’ in the next franchise of Fast and Furious was on its way. Brewster also revealed that when Michelle read her role, she was shocked to play the role, and then she changed the storyline entirely.
