Black Widow Teaser Trailer Addresses The Avengers’ Absence

Black Widow Updates: Scarlett Johansson’s standalone Marvel Studios feature, as heavily waited as it may seem, will be finally released in July. As a result, the film’s promotion has been in full force, building anticipation for its release in cinemas and on Disney+.

Due to the coronavirus crises, the advertising time for Black Widow has been over-extended. The blockbuster, directed by Cate Shortland, was repeatedly postponed due to the pandemic. Instead of launching off Phase 4 with the juggernaut, Marvel Studios launched its new cinematic chapter with the Disney+ series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki.

Black Widow’s timeline is set between Captain America: Civil War & Avengers: Infinity War, where Natasha is on the run after the Civil War fight, as she lands in Russia to hide. Ultimately, she will be reconnecting with her Russian family, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), and Alexei Shostokov/ Red Guardian (David Harbour).

However, Taskmaster, a one-of-a-kind adversary with the capacity to copy the fighting style of anybody they see, will be encountered. While the fans have been attempting to figure out who is behind the Taskmaster mask, there’s also another personality with a fascinating past that will outshine a fan-favorite Super Soldier in terms of power: Red Guardian.

Red Guardian mentions the Avengers and points out their absence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film in a new Black Widow teaser released by Marvel Studios. However, as the project’s official debut approaches, TV commercials have been produced to keep the excitement alive.

The Avengers’ non-involvement in Natalia Romanoff’s independent film stands to reason considering where it falls in the MCU time frame. The struggle between Iron Man and Captain America along with Bucky’s offenses against the Stark Family had scattered Earth’s Mightiest Heroes during this juncture.

But it does seem unjust that she is left to fend for herself after assisting her other protagonists in their solo adventures, which can be seen in Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Avenger’s widespread renown is further confirmed by Red Guardian’s remark about them. Even if Nat hasn’t kept in touch with her first family, they appear to be knowledgeable for her prominent heroics with her fellow Avengers.

Whichever the case may very well be, while being a standalone film, the Black Widow film appears to incorporate connections to the larger MCU storyline, bolstering its overall interwoven storytelling.
