Sony WF-1000XM4: Price and Features

Sony WF-1000XM4 Updates: For a long time, there were continuous rumors coming regarding these earbuds. Many people were excited about the fact that the sound quality and features of this might be really good. And finally, Sony has launched these.

Sony has officially unveiled the WF-1000XM4. These are the latest true wireless earbuds offering from Sony. They have pretty big shoes to fill, though the name that they have got might not be the most attractive.

The audio quality of these is proving to be really impressive. The earbuds have been launched at the perfect time. It has been a long time, two years to be precise, since the time the previous WF-1000XM3 had launched.

Sony WF-1000XM4 Features

The noise cancellation, audio quality, features, all are proving to be top-notch. Though the XM3s are still excellent for their price. They have impressive sound quality, great active noise cancellation, and all those nifty features that Sony’s earbuds have been known for.

But one of the big downsides for the XM3s was their bulky and uncomfortable design. This inefficient design has stopped the latter from being a hit.

Not only that but there are also rumors in the market that the AirPods Pro 2 from Apple may be released soon. And so Sony had to bring out a new product in the series to give the Apple alternative a run for its money.

If you notice, the biggest improvement in the XM4s is the design, Period. They are considerably smaller and rounder than the previous ones, and this ensures a real comfortable fit.

The back of the earbuds are touch-sensitive, and playback controls to the user, like play, pause, skip, and even help attend calls. This was not the case with the XM3s.

Sony says that the charging case has also been upgraded with respect to the design. The brand said that the case is 40 percent smaller than the XM3’s case.

Audio quality has also been focused highly. Along with LDAC support for high-quality audio streaming, the XM4 can also upscale all the non-LDAC files, which would make them sound much better.

Sony has also improved the active noise cancellation on these, as there are two microphones on each earbud this time. Sony promises 8 hours of continuous playback and 24 hours of total battery life with ANC turned on. Wireless charging has also been added this time. Overall, the 1000XM4 from Sony really looks promising, especially for audiophiles.
