The Flash Season 8 Begins With a Five-Episode, Crossover Event

Published by

The Flash Season 8 Updates: The CW has uncovered that the initial five episodes of The Flash Season 8 will be comprising of team-ups of the Flash and other heroes of the CW-verse in a mini “event” which won’t be a traditional crossover like The CW-stanza has done before.

The CW Chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz said that the thought for The Flash is [showrunner] Eric Wallace and [executive producer Greg Berlanti] have come together, and they are discussing other superheroes from the CW-verse that will meet up in every individual episode. It won’t exactly be a crossover, yet it will have a crossover-type feel with the presentation of each one of these characters.

Pedowitz has not yet uncovered which actors /characters would be showing up, despite the fact that it seems like there are some unmistakable choices out there. He told EW that he will get us with all the conversations with Eric Wallace. We do realize that there two or three feelers out to several of the actors, however, they have no definitives yet.

The CW had started a progression of annual crossovers previously, with Crisis on Infinite Earths in 2019 being its greatest one yet, yet the COVID pandemic forced them to stop any boundless crossover plans because of safety guidelines. Instead, The CW-verse used David Ramsey’s John Diggle as a kind of walking crossover as he went from one show to another.

The nature of this forthcoming event is intended to help the shows with getting back onto the track after the pandemic tossed everything in 2020. According to this Season, 7 of The Flash will not complete its production until June.

The series basically debut in October, however on the off chance that the shows finish its production in June and start back up in September, there would not be sufficient time to complete a record of eight or nine shows to hit that mid-October release, yet if in case they do a shorter batch of episodes, it is quite possible to hit in mid-November for certain episodes, so The CW will presently mark those five episodes as an “event.”

Pedowitz that they were excited to have these event programming that they will do with Flash and Riverdale for those five episodes that would be beginning in mid-November.

The CW recently revealed that Riverdale will be moving to Tuesdays to be paired up with The Flash in the fall.
