Google Pixel Buds A-Series vs Google Pixel Buds: what’s new with the wireless earbuds?

Google Pixel Buds A-Series Updates: Google is finally unveiling its Pixel Buds A-Series which is the latest addition to its line of truly wireless earbuds. After the success of Pixel Buds 2, the Pixel Buds A-Series looks like the best deal considering its price.

The Pixel Buds line started back in 2017 when Google introduced the first-gen Pixel Buds. The market was quick to respond to the Bluetooth earphones which were sturdy and had a unique design. But as truly wireless earbuds become the norm, the presence of cable on Google’s earphones looked outdated.

In 2020, they released the Pixel Buds 2 which was a huge success. The first truly wireless earbuds from Google offered improved design, wireless charging with the case, and much better audio quality.

Google Pixel Buds A-Series Is The Pocket-Friendly Decision

Google has returned with its Pixel Buds A-Series which is very similar to the Pixel Buds 2 but at a much cheaper cost. Compared to Pixel Buds 2 price of $179, the A-Series offers almost the same experience at a slashed price of $99.

Looks & Features

ScreenRant

The A-Series is very similar to Pixel Buds 2 when it comes to looks. The only difference would be a different placing of the LED charging indicator and different color options.

All things said, the A-Series is a downgrade from the Pixel Buds 2 which isn’t immediately apparent. It doesn’t have wireless charging or water resistance or the case. Also, the A-Series don’t support wind reduction during phone calls, swipe gestures for volume control, and Attention Alerts.

Apart from all this, the A-Series is exactly alike to its previous gen with 12mm drivers for great audio, up to 5 hours of playtime, 24 hours of total battery life with the inclusive charging case, and the hands-free Google Assistant. Considering the core features, it effectively offers the same experience as Pixel Buds 2.

All these reasons make the Pixel Buds A-Series stand out. With almost exactly the same featuring as the Pixel Buds 2 and at 45% lower pricing, these become an immediate top choice.

Also for users who care more about the functionality and audio than going truly wireless, it’s hard to justify the price of Pixel Buds. This definitely makes the A-Series a tough choice to look away from. You can pre-order already an actual sale begins on June 17.
