God Of War: Ragnarok Updates: Developer Sony Santa Monica confirmed the fact via Twitter that the next God of War will release in 2022. Though fans expected it to come in 2021 since the brand had said this earlier.
God of War: Ragnarok has been delayed by a lot, and sadly, it won’t release in 2021. While God of War: Ragnarok is not the official title of the game, PlayStation has yet to announce the name of this video game. Now, this clearly tells that the game can’t hit the stores in 2021, knowing the fact that there are only six months left in this year.
This PlayStation-exclusive sequel hasn’t had any details confirmed to date. We’ll have to wait for getting any info regarding the dates.
It is expected to see Kratos face off against Norse God Thor. Fans have been waiting to see this clash. Sony did announce the God of War sequel last year, just before the release of the popular PlayStation 5.
It was revealed using a simple logo and a teaser. Many fans had expected that Horizon Forbidden West or God of War: Ragnarok would release later this year but seems that it would not be a possibility.

The development cycle was impacted hugely by the COVID-19 pandemic, and so it was not possible for the developers to launch it in 2021.
They have not yet released the official launch date, which clearly means that the company is still not certain about the timeline. Till there is no concrete info. related to the release, Sony would likely remain silent.
PlayStation Studios Head Hermen Hulst confirmed that the game will not be exclusive to the PS5, but it would launch on the PS4 as well.
It is true that fans wanted news related to the release rather than this one, but it is still good to know that the title would not be a PS5 exclusive. There is a considerable time before the launch of this game, and so fans would have to wait a bit longer.
