In July 2020, Netflix ordered a second season of ” Sweet Magnolias “. The new episodes finally clarify whether Tyler and Kyle will survive the car accident and who was still in the car. Everything that is known about Season 2 so far can be found here.

Sweet Magnolias Season 2 Release Date

There is currently no exact start date for the new episodes. According to the US magazine TV Line, the 2nd season will appear on Netflix in 2022.

The shooting of the new episodes has already started. Actress Heather Headley confirms this with a photo from the set on Instagram, which she shows together with her colleagues JoAnna Garcia-Swisher and Brooke Elliott.

Director Norman Buckley also posted a photo from the set on Instagram. It shows the two of the leading actresses together with showrunners Sheryl Anderson and Caroline Lagerfelt.

Sweet magnolias: plot

In season 2 it will be clarified who was in the car in the car accident in season 1. Due to the cast of the new season, it can be assumed that all three children will have survived the accident should they have been in the car.

Despite her dramatic exit in episode 8 of season 1, Noreen returns. After all, Jamie Lynn Spears is part of the regular cast in Season 2.
