Both these were minimalist conversation pieces rather than the bombastic episodes of the main series. While nothing much develops in the specials, it’s recommended to see them as they work on the character’s thinking and mind in the aftermath of Season 1.

Season 2 does not have a release date yet. It was originally set for a March 2020 release. But due the pandemic outbreak, everything got delayed by a year. Productions for Euphoria Season 2 resumed in March 2021 and shooting started in April. As of now, the aim is to release by end of 2021.

As of now, there are little to no details available of the second season coming. As far as the cast is concerned, all the regular cast have either confirmed or are on the verge. They include Zendaya as Rue Bennett, Hunter Schaffer as Jules Vaughn, Angus Cloud as Fezco, Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs, Barbie Ferreira as Kat Hernandez, Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard, Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez, Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard and Storm Reid as Gia Bennett.

Also, Kelvin Harrison Jr., who was supposed to be a part of Season 1 but pulled out, is expected to be in the second.

About the plot, Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie told StylecasterI can tease that, when you ask about Season 2, my heart drops“. She further added, “In a you-guys-have-no-idea-what-you’re-going-to-watch way. Cassie really needs to get her shit together. I can’t say anything else. Cassie has a crazy storyline in Season 2 that I did not expect. Every time I read a new episode that Sam writes, my jaw is on the ground and I can’t believe this is something coming out of someone’s mind.
