Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti Updates: The Nvidia’s New Flagship Gaming GPU is here, Nvidia will be launching its latest flagship gaming GPU today, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, based on the latest Ampere architecture, the RTX 3080 Ti will be a successor for the TRX 3080 and has promised to deliver 1.5x more performance over the previous generation TRX 2080 Ti. Nvidia is prepared to make the RTX 3080 Ti available worldwide from June 3rd onwards and is priced from $1,199.
The RTX 3080 Ti looks very much the same as RTX 3080 with an identical designs and ports. The major difference between this GPU is the jump in power and VRAM. The RTX 3080 Ti boasts itself with more VRAM than the RTX 3080, 12GB of GDDR6X in total. This GPU configuration is the closest you can get to the RTX 3090 on paper. The $1,199 price matches the same that of the RTX 2080 Ti but is $300 less than the most equipped and giant of RTX 3090.
Well, you do reach only half of VRAM to that of RTX 3090, to what is only a small improvement in performance with $300 less. The RTX 3090 is giant because of its bigger cooling system, but it has to be noted that RTX 3080 Ti has the same hardware designs like that of the 3090. The results on the performance of the latest RTX 3080 Ti is still unknown and we will have to wait until further reviews to find out any issues with the GPU.
The RTX 3080 Ti has the same power requirements as the RTX 3090, which is 750-watt of power supply and the card can draw up to 350 watts of power. And unlike any other RTX, the 3080 Ti also uses Nvidia’s new 12-pin connector. Though it confirmed that Nvidia will include an adapter that is compatible with eight-pin cables. Nvidia is also planning to launch a second new GPU this year, the RTX 3070 Ti. Priced at $599 it will be made available from June 10th, it is designed for better performance over the RTX 2070 Super and will also feature 8GB GDDR6X memory.
It’s no mystery that the latest Nvidia GPUs are hard to get hold of, and the launch of the new flagship RTX 3080 Ti and the affordable option of RTX 3070 Ti is not going to solve the problem any time soon. So don’t expect to get the hold of an RTX 3080 Ti or the TRX 3070 Ti anytime soon.
