The historical fiction drama Outlander is based on a novel, named Outlander, written by Diana Gabaldon. The story is developed by Ronald D. Moore. It first aired on 9 August 2014 on Starz. It has an 8.4 rating on IMDb.
It is heard that the upcoming sixth and seventh seasons will be based on two novels, A Breath of Snow and Ashes and the other book is An Echo In the Bone.
Starz assures the viewers of Outlander Season 6 will not be the last by announcing the seventh season at the same time. The sixth season will contain 12 episodes. The release date of the show is not mentioned yet.
After almost a year, Starz announced the sixth season of Outlander. One month ago a production video of the show was aired on YouTube from Starz. It is only 71 seconds.
The two main leading characters will be the same as in the previous seasons. Two starring roles are一 Caitriona Balfe will play the role of Claire Beauchamp Randall/Fraser and Sam Heughan Will be back as James MacKenzie Fraser.
The other stars are Maria Doyle Kennedy will be joining as Jocasta MacKenzie Cameron, Colin McFarlane will act as Ulysses. Richard Rankin will play the role of Roger Wakefield. Sophie Skelton will act as Briana Randall, known as Bree.
The plot of Outlander Season 6 is going to be based on Diana Gabaldon’s other book named A Breath of Snow and Ashes. It will be the continuation of the previous installment. It will tell Clarie and Jamie’s fight to protect their family or whom they love most. But the pathway is not easy for them. Claire and Jamie will surely defend the house, which they have built-in Fraser’s Ridge.
For the global pandemic, the production of the show is held off for nine months. The show will probably be released late in 2021. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the show.
