Apple’s Mac Pro Can Connect 12 Displays?

Published by

Apple’s  Mac Pro can connect up to 12 displays depending upon the graphics card installed in it and the model. You can check the number of screens supported in your mode by referring to the technical page of your mac. You can also use the Support Tab in About This Mac.

  •       Choose the Apple menu and move to About this Mac.
  •       Go to the support tab and then click on Specifications.
  •       A web page will appear and there you can find the number of displays supported by your  Mac.

Keeping aside the variety of models every  Mac supports at least one external display.

According to Apple using Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI a MacBook can connect up to four displays with itself. However, it may vary with different models.

Apple’s Mac Pro Can Connect 12 Displays

If a user uses a 4k resolution display with a 16 inch MacBook then it can be connected to up to four displays provided certain conditions. If the user is using 5k or 6k resolution displays then the number of displays might be reduced to two.

The display support conditions mentioned above are applicable for 16 inch MacBooks however for 13inch the external display support might be reduced to 4k only. The maximum supported display in the 13 inch MacBook doesn’t exceed two.

Well for those who are using the older version of the MacBook the above-mentioned conditions might differ for them. But the user using MacBook pro can connect at least one display irrespective of their version or model.

There might be plenty of reasons behind a user’s choice about using multiple displays. Even though screen sharing or using multiple displays has become trendy these days. Perhaps it’s been an advantage for the people who enjoy the big screen or like to watch more detailed videos as it’s nothing but the clone of the original display.

It’s also been a good option when users want to watch something with multiple people at the same time. Also, additional monitors can be used to extend the space of the desktop. In this mode, it’s not the clone of the original screen rather it provides additional space to the MacBook pro. This mode makes multitasking a very easy job.
