Apple iPhone 13 To Have A Better Camera With Sensor-Shift Stabilization

Apple iPhone 13 introduces the sensor-shift stabilization to Apple iPhone 13 after it was introduced on last year’s iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Apple iPhone 13 is likely to be launched this year and as expected there a bunch of reports and rumors doing rounds on the internet on what is to be expected of the new iPhone 13. Adding to the mix of reports and leaks, iPhone 13 is said to be featuring better cameras that will be able to focus on subjects better with the use of sensor-shift stabilization. And the best part of this OIS technology will be made available to all four models of the iPhone 13, which are reported to launch later this year.

Apple iPhone 13 New Feature

All four models of the iPhone 13 series will feature sensor-shift OIS tech, unlike the iPhone 12 series which only features advanced–level cameras on Pro models. This will make the iPhone much better in terms of having voice coil motors. Voice coil motors or VCMs help the camera to focus.

The sensor-shift stabilization makes the sensor help attain precise stabilization. Also known as In-body Image stabilization, this method uses a floating sensor that makes up for the movement happening to the camera when you are physically using the phone. Because of the counterbalance which takes place inside of the sensor, the video recording turns out to be much more smooth and more shutter-free, a result that is not seen on videos without OIS applied.

Apple did introduce the sensor-shift stabilization with last year’s iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which in comparison to the previous iPhone 11 series is a better suit. Both the iPhones 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max support Dobly Vision recording, while all the four models are able to play Dolby Vision recorded files. Dolby Vision will make its return on iPhone 13 this year but Apple will be pushing for better cameras taking them to next level.
