Monarca Season 3 Updates: The show kicked off on Netflix in September 2019 and finally reached its second season with CobraKai on January 1, 2021. The show managed to stay in the top 10 on the Mexican charts for 27 days while performing well in the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama. and Honduras.
The show could also hit the top 10 on the US television charts in a matter of days, but now it appears the show ended without the third season planned for the future. It does so without ending Monarca season two with outstanding tension making it difficult to recommend a show watching if you haven’t already.
The news was followed closely by a Mexican television show (Monarca), Senacine, which on March 26 said the show’s return was increasingly unlikely. In an Instagram post on March 26, Osvaldo Benavides said:
“In the absence of any news… I say goodbye to Andres Carranza. This is a good project. Thank you all and everyone here. The pride of being there. Goodbye.”
Also, Irene Azeual posted the same goodbye on Instagram:
“Some stories will end even if they are not over. Working with people I admire, full of humor and respect, caring actors, and a top-notch team… I am very happy that I have produced a high-quality series that can be shown off here and in other countries. Now, we must invent an ending for the people who saw it and the people who have done it for us.”
According to Juan Manuel Bernal, a few days later, on March 28, Senacine received a confirmation of cancellation of the game, saying:
“I am very grateful, moved, and surprised for everything that caused this news. I finally believe that when I announced the cancellation of the third season of “Monarca”, the Netflix platform had confirmed this…
… I understand your anger, but I am not the right person to express your anger. I’m with you. I’m a bit upset because it seems to me that the series didn’t end the way it had to end, we had to end it but the decision is not mine, it’s not ours, it’s the platform. “
So that’s it, there is no return for Monarca for season 3 on Netflix.
