Ozark has been one of the highest-rated shows on Netflix of its genre since the time it was released. The crime drama series has received several nominations for the Emmy award and many other commendable nominations. Ozark currently has three seasons with the rumor of a fourth season on its way.

There were also rumors that the show has been canceled after the fourth season. But these rumors are just baseless and fake. On June 30, 2020, just after the third season was released Netflix announced that there would be the Ozark Season 4.

The plot of Ozark Season 4

The story of Ozark revolves around the life of Martin “Marty” Byrde. After his money-laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel goes sideways, Marty offers to make amends by proposing to set up a bigger operation in the lake of the Ozarks region of central Missouri. For this Marty relocates his family from the Chicago suburb of Naperville to the remote summer resort community of Osage Beach, Missouri. During their time in Missouri, the bride family has to face local criminals, along with the snell families and the Longmore family.

Ozark also suffered delays in shooting like many shows due to the covid pandemic situation. Ozark Season 4 was shot in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2020. Though many thought that the fourth season would likely be dropped in 2021. However, the possibility of that happening is very slim.

Netflix released a list of which shows will be appearing in 2021 and Ozark was nowhere to be found on that list. Another reason can be that the filming for the fourth season of Ozark is still going on. Or the series has gone in post-production. Whatever the reason, one thing that can be said with as-surety is that fans will not be able to enjoy the fourth season of Ozark this year.
