In Treatment Season 4 Episode 5: In Treatment is back with its second season on HBO. The critically acclaimed HBO series hasn’t aired new episodes in years. Nonetheless, the revamped version starring Uzo Aduba as Dr. Brooke Lawrence, the main therapist, premiered on May 23rd with the first two episodes of In Treatment Season 4. The series has a long history, having first shown in 2008 and now returning after an 11-year hiatus after season three. Jennifer Schuur and Joshua Allen, who also act as showrunners for the season, bring us In Treatment Season 4 Episode 5. This season, the show will have a new cast. In the series, Anthony Ramos, John Benjamin Hickey, and Quintessa Swindell will be seen as patients. Liza Colon-Zayas will play Brooke’s longtime friend, Rita and Joel Kinnaman will play Brooke’s partner, Adam.

The first two episodes of the show have released on May 23, followed by episodes three and four on May 24. The fifth and sixth episodes will release on May 30 and it will conclude with the last two episodes premiering on May 31. The show has already shown an astounding number of episodes, with season one alone consisting of 43 episodes that aired in 2008. Season two contained 35 episodes, while season three had 28, making season four by far the shortest.

Brooke Taylor, played by Aduba, promises to be a completely different kind of therapist from Paul Weston, played by Byrne. The filmmakers wanted to honor the original while modernizing it with more modern issues, according to Schuur in In Treatment Season 4 Episode 5. Much of the drama comes from Brooke’s patients, who are suffering from life transitions, identity challenges, and other concerns. 

The show has changed its format from an astounding number of episodes, with season one alone consisting of 43 episodes that aired in 2008. Season two contained 35 episodes, while season three had 28, making season four by far the shortest. The shift is unsurprising, given that the new season will be broadcast in a totally different manner from the original.
