The shining’s Emily Lind will play Audrey who dates Aki, who will be played by Evan Mock. Sacred Lies lead Jordan Alexander to play Audrey’s best friend, Julien. Other different stars will play various roles in the show as Doherty, Elie Brown, SAvannah, Tavi Gevinson.

In 2019, in an interview with Vulture, Joshua Safran announced that reimagining will be fun because a lot has changed, grown. City of non-white, queer culture has become very fundamental to the new york city per se. Thus, the show will have a lot of queer content on this show now. Even the creators of the show are on board with the producers and executive producers.
