Eternals First Footage Breakdown & Everything Revealed

Eternals Updates: Marvel Studios is back with another movie in its franchise. The 26th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is going to be another superhero film titled Eternals, based on the Marvel Comics of the same name.

The film follows the Eternals, an immortal alien race, that emerges after thousands of years of hiding to protect the Earth from the evil Deviants.

The development of the film began in April, 2018, according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Although the film was supposed to release earlier, COVID-19 pandemic and consequent government restrictions postponed the dates.

The film is now scheduled to premiere in the United States on the 5th of November, 2021.

The cast includes several well-known names in Hollywood such as, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Selma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, and Lauren Ridloff among others.

Eternals: First Footage

The first clip of the movie shows Ajak in ranch clothing, on horseback, confirming that the movie is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The first line of dialogue says: “If you love something, you fight for it.” It seems that the movie will see the Eternals standing to defend humanity against whatever comes their way.

The trailer also features a mysterious ceremony without any apparent context. Since the movie spans several million years, this could even be a flashback of the past. It is also difficult to make out the characters in the scene, but one could possibly be Sprite, an Eternal trapped in the form of a child.

Marvel also teases the fans by giving a brief shot of the Eternals assembled but clads them in civilian clothes and not their costumes. This has left many fans excited about how the characters will look like once the movie is out.

The two-minute trailer has been quite successful in arousing fans’ curiosity with several coming up with theories on the internet. Looks like that is all we can do until the movie is out and we finally get to see our favorite characters on the big screen.
