Though there’s been no formal declaration on Netflix’s information platform or social media pages, the news was reported in a shareholder letter about Q1 profits. Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and Chief Content Officer, shared the news in the corporation’s first-quarter financial statements investor clip.
According to Timeline, Ted Sarandos said, “What changed in the first half of last year was that a lot of the programs that we’d planned to come out sooner did get delayed due to post-production problems and Covid delays, and we think we’ll get back to a much firmer state in the second half of the year, especially in Q4 where we have the returning franchises of some of our biggest successful shows like The Witcher, You, and Cobra Kai, and even some major tent pole films that came out just a little later than anticipated, such as Red Notice and Escape From Spider head.”
