Google Pixel 6 Looks Promising, But Are There Still Any Issues?

Published by

Google Pixel 6 Updates: We all know the new Pixel devices are coming soon. The 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro have leaked quite a lot, and are in the news. The designs, aesthetics, hardware, all looks really promising. These new devices are being tipped to have some really big changes for the Pixel lineup. But is Google again missing something here? Let’s find out.

The new Pixel lineup looks like a real ambitious project for Google. The new designs with some colors not seen before on a smartphone, like orange, really show that Google really wants to break the monotonous nature of their devices.

Google Pixel 6 Issues

Though the Pixel lineup can’t be said as successful as the Notes and S Series from Samsung. There have been some abrupt changes and some display of simplicity, both at the same time in this lineup. The Pixel and Pixel XL which launched back in 2016 were successful, they didn’t continue the same way. The Pixel 3 XL got a seriously big notch, and then the Pixel 4 got a huge bezel at the top. It was all too much. In most cases, users want a good device, instead of an innovative one.

There were many new sensor-based technologies introduced with the Pixel 4. Motion gestures and face unlock were introduced. But those features made the device compromise on various fronts. The Pixel 4 users had to contend with an unusually big notch, to get all that functionality. The Pixel 5 had no ultrawide camera at a time when even budget devices had one. The Pixel 2 XL had display issues and the Pixel 3 suffered from poor RAM management.

And now comes the Google Pixel 6. There are high expectations from this device. It would have a new design, an in-house processor from Google, and wouldn’t compromise on the power like the Pixel 5.

But the only issue is consistency. Pixel phones have not been consistent over the years. Google needs to make sure that the devices it releases to get the basics right. It should no longer be a gamble, with 3-4 innovative features and a compromise in the basic aspects. Take the iPhones or the Samsung premium devices for an example. The focus here is more on the rather important aspects of a smartphone, like the display, cameras, and the overall user experience. Taking a lesson is never a bad thing, even if a brand like Google has to do it. But the launch is far, and we’ll wait to see if Google has done the job well this time.

Are you excited about the Pixel 6 lineup? What would be the prices according to you? Let us know in the comments.
