P-VALLEY Possible Release Date
P-Valley first arrived on Starz on the 12th of July, 2020. It has been written by Katori Hall. This series revolves around the story of The Pynk, a strip club in the fictional city of Chucalissa in the ‘Dirty Delta’ of Mississippi. In the first season, the leads in the series are mostly Brandee Evans Mercedes and Nicco Annan’s Uncle Clifford.
It has starred in its cast like Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Elarica Johnson, Parker Sawyers, Tyler Lepley, and Isaiah Washington. It was renewed for a second season only two weeks after its premiere. The eight-episode first series was made using all-female directors. It has been nominated for many awards like the GLAAD Media Awards 2021, the Gotham Independent Film Awards 2020, and the Satellite Awards 2021.
Now the series has been rebooted by Starz and the second season was premiered on the 27th of July, 2020. The series though gained immense popularity. It had almost double the viewership it got during the first season. There have been 3 episodes aired till now in the new season.
Viewers have appreciated this new iteration a lot. Many of the critics, who were a bit critical of the last season, have gone as far as to recommend this new season! Fans have been eager for the return of the P-Valley from as early as the 6th of September.
The Next Season?
Though there haven’t been any official announcements regarding the next season, rumors have always been present regarding the release of the same. Some recent online rumors suggested that the next season could air from the 11th of May, though it seems to be quite unlikely.
As a trend, it has been observed that the new seasons of TV shows arrive roughly after a year of the previous installment. And if this is the case by any means, we could see the next season go live in July of 2021. But looking at the current situation, given the recent filming delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are chances that the season could arrive late than expected. Officially, though P-Valley has confirmed for a season 2 it has not released any dates yet.

Unfortunately, the show has been infected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as have several other productions, making it difficult to predict when it will return. She does pledge, though, that work will begin “soon.”
“We’re in the middle of a pandemic, and it’s causing ripples across the industry,” Johnson said. “So, for those who don’t know, we haven’t filmed it yet — because I believe some people believe we have and are anticipating its release. We really haven’t started filming. And accept my apologies. We’ll do it, though. It’s on the way.”
“The cast is very happy to get back together,” Johnson continued. We’re doing a lot of panels for award season, so seeing each other is especially nice. But it’s getting better, and we’ll be shooting soon.”

P-Valley Season 2 picks off where ‘P-Valley’ left off
The sudden death of Montavius, who had spent the whole season chasing Hailey down, was one of the most memorable events in the finale. After that, Hailey used his money to save The Pynk from being auctioned off, forming a partnership with Uncle Clifford.
When asked what viewers should expect in season 2, Hall told Entertainment Weekly, “She came in and had her** smacked on the dance floor and now she has some ownership in the club.” “The political dynamics at the club have totally shifted, and it will be legendary to see Uncle Clifford and Hailey compete for the throne.”
“Mercedes will always be facing the major Goliath of her life, which is respectability politics,” Hall said. Will she be able to keep her dance studio and child custody? Would she ever be able to defeat her mum, a former pimp who has now become a pastor? It is just a matter of time.”
Mercedes, Hailey, and Uncle Clifford will all have to deal with what happened to Montavius, which has bound them “forever,” according to Hall. Aside from the legal ramifications, Hall hinted that now that Montavius is missing, his crew might come looking for him. “It’ll be interesting to see if the Delta Devoted comes after Montavius in Season 2,” she said.
