Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s File Size Revealed

Ratchet & Clank Updates: The new file size for the Rift Apart has been revealed, assuring the players that this time the game would not eat up all of their device’s space.

Before a month of the launch of the game Ratchet and Clank : Rift Apart on the PlayStation 5, the details of the game of the size of the game was revealed, so that the players have an idea of how much space will the game be occupying.

According to Prospero Patches, the players can expect that the game can occupy a space of 39.3 GB. As a part of AAA games, this fits the bill of the standard gaming size, which satisfies the PS5 owners who have experienced a problem with its reasonably limited storage space issue.

It was recently reported that the file size announced by the developers  is of the base game and not of the day one patch. The players should expect some more additional storage requirements, if they want to install some more updates.

The patch sizes of the game depends very much on the state of the game at launch, if the game is consisting of more buggy releases like the Cyberpunk 2077 then it would require more heftier patches.

But, this game is a single player game and also does not have any live services available, then we can expect that the players won’t be receiving many updates related to the consequential size unless there is the DLC. However, the developer Insomniac Games are yet to confirm any of it.

The last game launched by the developers was the Spider Man: Miles Morales. This game Spider Man: Miles Morales required a file size of 50 GB.

That game was really very short, in comparison to the games launched by the developers earlier, so its like a surprise to the players that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be available in much smaller storage size. Even after having a smaller file size, the game is believed to fully harness the next-gen hardware, especially eliminating the load time of the players and they would shift between levels instantaneously.

Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart arrives on PlayStation 5 June 11.
