Lupin Part 2 Official First Look Images Tease Return of Netflix Heist Series

Lupin Part 2 Updates: ‘Lupin’ is back with more heist and mysteries this summer on Netflix. Netflix has released the first images from Lupin Part 2, the sequel to the smash-hit series which is back with a fresh batch of five episodes this summer, promising more mystery, drama, suspense and heisting from Omar Sy’s Assane Diop.

Part 2 initiates right from where the predecessors left off in season 1, as Diop strives on the his agenda to get revenge on Herve Pierre’s business tycoon Hubert Pellegrini, but the events of the part 1 have put both the thief into a tough spot and are in more danger than ever.

The show has smart, stylish and self-aware twists in the stories of Arsene Lupin which were created by Maurice Leblanc back in 1905 and was regarded as one of France’s most famous literary creations.

In an interesting spin on source material, Lupin finds Sy’s Assane inspired by the character to take on the role of moniker to make sure he covers his tracks, all this while seeking doom on Pellegrini family for the death of his father 25 years earlier.

According to Netflix’s data, Part 1 of Lupin is the most successful French – language original on the platforms history with views over 70 million by households in the first four weeks after it’s addition on Netflix’s library in January, which also made it the third most-watched episodic project only behind the likes of Briggerton and The Withcer.

It but obvious that the expectation will be sky high for the Part 2 after Lupin established itself as Netflix’s biggest shows, and it became the first French production to crack into Top 10 most-watched ranking in the United States.

Alongside reaching top spots in many other countries around the world, which has made this project an international phenomenon.

Lupin is created by George Kay and Francois Uzan, lupin-co stars Nicole Garcia, Coltidle Hesme, Ludivine Saginer, Antoine Gouy, Shirine Boutella and Soufiane Guerrab. Lupin part 2 though at the moment does not have an official release date, but it’s expected to premier on Netflix during the coming summer months.
