Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade: Know The New Limit Breaks

Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Limit Breaks were introduced in the Final Fantasy 7 original version. Since then, they have featured in every mainline Final Fantasy make ever. They are signature moves that different characters can choose to use only in certain situations. Recently, Square Enix revealed the Limit Breaks for the INTERmission DLC of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade.

Limit Breaks are active only after a player receives a certain amount of damage. A bar fills up after getting hit for some time. This allows the character to unleash a deadly attack using the Limit Break. Though Final Fantasy 7 Remake brought back this feature, they are only two options for each character to choose from. This is mainly because this remake is the first part of the series. Limit Breaks can no longer be stored for the future as the damage bar resets after each battle.

What’s New in Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Recently Square Enix confirmed that the INTERmission DLC will feature new Limit Breaks for Yuffie and Sonon. Also, this version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will have two new chapters featuring Yuffie. Interesting for gamers, the new content will give more summons and features, including Ramuh.

The new Limit Breaks given to Yuffie and Sonon are enhanced versions of their Final Fantasy 7 moves. Yuffie has Bloodbath Limit Break derived from Bloodfest move in FF7. This move enables her to perform a flurry of blows to cause a ton of damage to the enemy. Sonon’s Dance of the Dragon Limit Break features his staff dealing a number of blows in a spectacular manner. Sonon can perform coordinated attacks with Yuffie, but the character cannot be controlled directly. He can only be issued commands by the player.

Sonon’s non-inclusion in full party members is surprising in the new INTERmission, but it could be to keep playable characters in FF7 and the Remake same. This could point to Sephiroth being playable in the same way in the upcoming versions. It would be the aptest way to use the fantastic ability of the character in the flashbacks without actually having control.
