While the previous film was directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, the upcoming sequel will be directed by Joaquim Dos Santos.
When will Into the Spider-Verse hit Netflix?
The work on the upcoming Into the Spider-Verse sequel began in late 2019, and at the same time, the studio announced the sequel of the show to be shown green-light. So, according to a press release, the untitled ‘Into The Spider-Verse 2′ will be published on October 7, 2022.
Sony had confirmed the release date on April 8, 2022, initially. The sequel had to be pushed further due to the pandemic rise that made the dates shuffle.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2: Who will Feature in the Show?
The VergeShameik Moore will make his return as Miles Morales in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel after contributing his voice to Miles Morales in Into the Spider-Verse. Moore was hailed for his vocal work in the animated film, which was seen as his breakout role.
Moore will reteam alongside former co-star Hailee Steinfeld, who will play her role as Gwen Stacy, the Spider-Woman from another universe, in the sequel. Of course, Steinfeld also portrays Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Hawkeye.
Fans of the other Spider-Verse characters should be looking forward to the big revelation in October 2022.

While the first film included numerous notable Spider-people such as Peter B. Parker, Spider-Man Noir, and Spider-Woman, the sequel is expected to focus more on the latter.
