Legends of Runeterra Is Getting Champion Skins

Legends of Runeterra Updates: Legends of Runeterra is getting new champion skins in the upcoming Patch 2.8.0. A new feature addition in the  game will allow you to customize players with new look.

Champion skins in the League of Legends card game will initiate with it having different cosmetics linked to one champion each which change the looks. The first of the champion skins also come with a new feature. The Dark Horizon event that leeches on the existing collection of cosmetics came first in the League.

Legends of Runeterra is a free-to-play card game developed by Riot Games. It was released on April 29, 2020, for operating systems like Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. The game has characters and a setting basically based on League of Legends that is a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Riot Games.

The game was nominee for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2020. It was also named iPad Game of the Year by Apple.

First champions to obtain the skins will be Zed, Yasuo, Riven, and Shyvana in Legends of Runeterra. Zed and Shyvana will have Dark Star skins while Yasuo and Riven will be having cosmic skins.

Dark Star Zed and Cosmic Zephyr Yasuo will also have an artwork that is alternate for the champions partnering with new level-up animations. Cosmic Exile Riven and Dark Star Shyvanawill only have art.

While the skin continues for the Cosmic vs. Dark Star narrative established in he League, players need to know how the skins will work and what is expected.

Champion skins are a way to personalize your favorite decks by changing and altering their personalities. Riot Games stated about the new Legends of Runeterra feature.

“Equipping a champion with a skin will change art of copy and each of that champion’s levels, as well as their accompanying flavor. Some skins have great level-up animations, and alter the appearance of units it summons”

All the cosmetics will be available when the Patch 2.8.0 drops, but the cost for players is not decided for it to be obtained. However, more info will be released by Wednesday before the game’s next update comes.

A confirmation states that we’ll see more cosmetics added as it sprinkle throughout the year, there’s a good chance some nice themes of League and perhaps some new ones  will come to Legends of Runeterra.
