Outer Banks Season 2 Updates: With its release during a global lockdown, Outer Banks gained an overwhelming response from fans with its portrayal of life by the sea in the hot summer days. Seeing its popularity, the teen drama, which premiered in April 2020, was renewed for a second season in July of the same year.
The show is set in a coastal town in North Carolina where the class divide is quite prominent. It follows John B and his friends as they try to find out what really happened to his missing father and stumble upon a treasure hunt along the way.

The IMDb 7.6/10 rated drama will be returning to Netflix this summer for its second installment, according to TVLine.
The newest season does not have an official premiere date yet. However, according to reports, we believe that the show might release by summer this year which is not too far.
Considering how the team has also released some preview photos for the latest season, we might be getting a trailer and an official release date very soon.
From the first look images of the second season, it seems that the core cast would be returning to screen. This includes Chase Stokes as John B, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Austin North as Topper among others.

In search of the treasure, season 1 saw the group of friends escaping a death quite narrowly. The second installment will pick up from there with John B and Sara running for their lives in the Bahamas.
In conversation with Digital Spy, the executive producers talked about how the latest season is going to be “a full-throttle, action-packed adventure.”
