Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Has Some of Shonen’s Best Female Characters

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Updates: Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season was a remarkable success. Its success had several factors involving a great story, excellent animation of studio MAPPA and some of the good character writing.

A cast of great characters is a basic need. But what sets Jujutsu Kaisen apart is in part, the equality of female and male cast members. The women of its first season are complex, memorable and characters with aim. Female characters in shonen are written only as a means to further a male character’s

Maki Zenin

Maki Zenin’s definitely ranks among the best of them. Maki has an intimidating personality and is very assertive. Maki has no cursed energy of her own, but she’s strong.

Maki was born into the Zenin clan, one of the three great sorcerer families in the jujutsu world, and a clan famed for its wide influence, powerful members and internal power-based discrimination.

Maki’s lack of cursed energy was part of a heavenly pact that granted her physical abilities instead.

Kasumi Miwa

Miwa Kasumi is underrated, and that’s partly her own fault..

Miwa’s backstory and reason for becoming a jujutsu sorcerer was different, but her motives are just as valid. She comes from a poor background and is training to become a jujutsu sorcerer to earn money.

Although Miwa is just as excitable as any other shonen ‘waifu,’ those traits never come in between her duties as a student or jujutsu sorcerer.

Miwa isn’t the most powerful character, but her combat skills are remarkable. She was able to duel with Maki until she got outsmarted.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Mai Zenin

Mai might be Maki’s twin but she doesn’t like her. She does everything she can to later their similarities.

Mai was forced to become a jujutsu sorcerer. Mai only revealed this backstory in a moment of weakness after her defeat by Maki’s hands in Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season.

Mai never had her twin’s aspirations.

She had a very little cursed energy, she also proved to be as capable a sorcerer

Nobara Kugisaki

Nobara Kugisaki knows exactly who she is and is a idealist. First impression was that she appears quite vain and self-centered.

Nobara’s motivation for becoming a jujutsu sorcerer is simple: because she wants to live in Tokyo and enrolling in Jujutsu High was the easiest way to achieve this dream.

Her relationship with Maki is a simple but a treat.
